POWELL SYSTEMS INC. corrugated steel containers for continuous use holding and transporting material in progress are built to match the demands of manufacturing processes. They’re built to match the demands of the service.

For example, corrugated structures provide rigidity and resistance to bending. Lap seam welds provide additional strength. Corners are formed as an integral part of the container, rather than welded. Leg design provides additional base strength, and safe stacking. Formed top flanges keep the container side straight and parallel, which provides additional stacking safety.

The containers are fireproof and chemical-resistant, and can be galvanized for outdoors use. The can be cleaned easily with liquid or steam.

Manufacturers’ use corrugated steel containers because they possess a high strength-to-weight ratio; designed-in flexibility and durability; provide maximum protection for the contents; and are practically maintenance-free.

The boxes are safe and easy to stack. Standard units consist of a two-piece box welded to a platform skid base, or a corrugated bottom with stacking legs.

For hot forgings, the “Brute” model offers rugged, extra-heavy-duty construction for forgings (or, castings, stampings, etc.) Higher stacking capability allows for greater floor space utilization with added safety.

A range of design options is available, and the systems can be used with any handling device. Other models include containers with tapered-end bodies; bottom dumping capability; roll-over units; crane handling accessories; skid bases; corrugated metal pallets; boxes with wire mesh panels; hinged doors; sliding doors; heavy duty forging boxes, etc.
