U.S. Pipe Names New President

Former Griffin Pipe president Paul Ciolino replacing Torok

Paul Ciolino is the new president of Atlanta-based United States Pipe and Foundry Co., replacing Raymond Torok who is retiring.

U.S. Pipe is a Mueller Water Products Inc. subsidiary that manufacturers ductile iron products for water distribution and water treatment.

"We are excited to have someone of Paul's stature join U.S. Pipe," stated Mueller Water Products chairman, president, and CEO Gregory E. Hyland. "Paul understands the water infrastructure and ductile iron pipe industries, and he already has strong relationships with water system customers and distributors."

Hyland thanked Torok for his contributions to U.S. Pipe. during “very challenging economic conditions.”

“He was the driving force behind our automated ductile iron pipe manufacturing operation,” Hyland said of Toroki, “which has been recognized for its innovation and efficiency and which, we believe, represents the future of the ductile iron pipe industry."

Ciolino has been the president of Griffin Pipe Products Co. since 2002. He has over 25 years of experience in ferrous manufacturing. He was managing director of ASF-Keystone Europe through 2002. He earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and a M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

"U.S. Pipe has consistently led the industry in innovation and quality, and we have a tremendous opportunity to strengthen our leadership position," stated Ciolino. "I look forward to helping U.S. Pipe continue its long tradition of innovation and service as the United States continues to rebuild our aging water infrastructure."
