Ultraseal Buys Baron Industries in N.A. Expansion Plan

June 7, 2022
The casting impregnation technology and service provider aims to build brand awareness in North America.

Ultraseal International acquired Baron Industries, an impregnation service business, as part of a strategic plan to expand its North American presence. Baron Industries provides vacuum impregnation service for castings, powder metal parts, and electrical components to OEM customers from locations in Madison Heights, MI, and Lewisburg, TN.

The value of the purchase was not announced. In its announcement, Ultraseal said the purchase would allow it to build its brand awareness in the region and would help Baron Industries enhance its market share through its affiliation with “the global market leader in porosity sealing.”

“Given that Baron is extremely well established in North America, we are confident that this acquisition will provide many great opportunities for both companies. It also provides Ultraseal with an accelerated entry into the North American impregnation service industry,” according to Gary Lloyd, managing director, at Ultraseal International.

He continued: “Local involvement within service centers globally has helped Ultraseal to support customers wherever they need impregnation. It’s hoped that Ultraseal’s presence will increase knowledge of our customer’s needs and strategic plans, and allow Ultraseal to support these plans and help our customers develop and grow.”
