Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Buys Again

April 1, 2025
Adding Anderson Global, a specialty manufacturer of foundry tooling, will expand the group’s internal capabilities and services for various industrial markets.

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry has purchased Anderson Global, a metalcaster and tooling manufacturer in Muskegon, MI, for an undisclosed price. The buyer’s announcement stated the addition “expands WAF’s capabilities in tooling, casting, and machining across a variety of industrial sectors.”

It’s the fifth addition to Wisconsin Aluminum’s portfolio since 2021.

Anderson Global specializes in mold design and production, with services that include process and core blowing simulation, reverse engineering, laser scanning, preliminary component machining and holding fixture production, and tool maintenance.

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry uses green-sand, air-set, and permanent mold casting and low-pressure molding to pour nonferrous castings for automotive, agriculture and construction, commercial vehicles, defense, medical, and railroad manufacturing, among others. It specializes in aluminum and copper-based alloy casting.

Since 2021, WAF has acquired ATEK Metal Technologies, New Hampton, IA; DEE Inc., Crookston, MN; Manitowoc Pattern & Machining, Manitowoc, WI; and Wabash Castings in Wabash, IN, growing the organization and extending its downstream reach. It also initiated a $25-million expansion to its permanent-mold casting capacity for tilt/static and low-pressure pouring.

Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary, and its staff of 80 will remain..

“We are thrilled to welcome Anderson Global to the WAF family,” stated WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram. “John and Betsy McIntyre have built a world-class business that stands as the gold standard for tooling in our industry.”

He continued: “This acquisition not only strengthens our internal capabilities, but also ensures Anderson Global will continue to support foundries across North America as an independent and trusted partner. We look forward to investing in the people, technology, and equipment that will enable Anderson Global to thrive for decades to come.”
