Two developers of core-shooting technology are in a new partnership to address “a rapidly changing market” as they continue to support foundry customers. In announcing its alliance with Lüber GmbH, Laempe Mössner Sinto referenced the “rising costs, increasing complexity, global competitive pressure, and technological change” challenging foundries and manufacturers worldwide, and prompting the collaboration.

Together, Laempe and Lüber aim to provide their customers with “innovative, reliable, and service-oriented solutions in the future.”

No financial considerations for the partnership were announced.

Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH offers a comprehensive portfolio of coremaking products and services, including additive and hybrid manufacturing options. Lüber is a Swiss company with expertise in modular core-shooting machinery, sand mixing systems, and gas generating units.

In the announcement, Laempe stated the two companies’ portfolios complement each other, and added that they aim to combine their expertise, testing, and development programs for product development, to implement new technologies more quickly and economically.

Laempe noted the geographical proximity of its own operation in Schopfheim, Germany, and Lüber’s Bazenheid, Switzerland, headquarters will facilitate operational collaboration. “The cooperation is a step toward a long-term, future-proof strategy in industrial mechanical engineering,” according to the announcement.

Laempe further explained that the two businesses will share their production capacities to optimize workflows, and coordinate their service and spare-parts businesses to expand and coordinate their respective capabilities.

“This partnership is more than just two manufacturers joining forces – it is a response to the complex challenges facing our industry,” stated managing director Andreas Mössner, of Laempe Mössner Sinto. “Together, we can react more quickly to market changes and continue to offer our customers excellent solutions.”
