Foundry-focused enterprise software developer Guardian Software Systems was acquired by Embrace Software Inc. for an undisclosed price. The purchase was announced April 3. According to a statement, the developer of Enterprise Resource Planning and Manufacturing Execution System (ERP/MES) packages will “expand Embrace’s product offerings and strengthen its position in the manufacturing software market.”
ERP software manages business processes in real time, and MES are software-based execution systems used in manufacturing to track and document production sequences.
Embrace Software is a portfolio of industry-specific enterprise software products, including Valologix, Better Branches, Radiant, and EPOWERdoc, among others.
Guardian Software will continue to be available under its established brand, and the team led by founder and CEO Steve Hoppe will work with Embrace Software to develop and support its existing product portfolio, while identifying opportunities for joint development of new software functions.
“The acquisition of Guardian represents an exciting opportunity for Embrace to expand our presence in the manufacturing sector and bring new and innovative solutions to our customers,” stated Mohan Plakkot, Embrace Software CEO. “Guardian’s deep expertise in the metalcasting and foundry industry, combined with our extensive experience in delivering world-class software solutions, will enable us to provide even more value to our clients and help them achieve success in today’s competitive market.”
Guardian Software’s flagship ERP and MES software suite is in use by metalcasters to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and drive business growth. “We are thrilled to join forces with Embrace and be part of their growing portfolio of software solutions,” according to Hoppe. “We are confident that this partnership will enable us to continue delivering innovative and industry-leading solutions to our customers while benefiting from the resources and expertise of Embrace.”
