Maintenance Release for ERP

Sept. 2, 2013
Available immediately for download Platform modules meet specific needs of metalcasting's five major roles Includes database update

B&L INFORMATION SYSTEMS, a developer of ERP software for foundries and diecasters, introduced Odyssey/BLIS-IV 4.5 Maintenance Release 7, noting it is available for download immediately by current Odyssey users.

B&L supplies integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for metalcasters; all B&L products — both client-server applications and Software as a Service (SaaS) — are designed with the specific needs of metalcasters in mind.

Odyssey is designed to give everyone the operation, automatically, the information necessary to complete jobs on time and on budget. The platform has modules that meet the specific needs of metalcasting's five major roles — management, accounting, sales, production and quality, so information can be shared and received by everyone, with no extra effort.

In its summary, B&L listed a long series of the improvements made available in the new release, including changes for the following Odyssey applications: A/P, Cost Estimating/Quotes, Install Programs/Processes; Inventorying; Labor Reporting; Odyssey Database; Odyssey E-Commerce; Order Processing; Printing/Reports; Production; Purchasing; Requisitions; Scheduling; and Shipping/Invoice, among others.

B&L Info emphasized that Maintenance Release 7 includes a database schema update.

All Odyssey updates are cumulative, the developer noted, so Maintenance Release 7 contains all prior enhancements and updates.
