The company began life in 1895 as a water-powered graphite mill in the small town of Asbury, NJ. More than a century later, with eight product divisions, Asbury Carbons Inc. is the world’s largest independent processor and merchant of refined graphite and other carbons.
The company crushes, refines, grinds, and screens natural and synthetic graphite and related carbon-based minerals to meet the difficult specifications of industries around the world. Asbury supplies the most extensive line of such products currently available, either in bulk or packaged.
Asbury Carbons has mines in Mexico and also imports from many other global sources. It also exports and brokers carbons extensively.
Quality Source
Each Asbury Carbons plant has its own Quality Control Program that assures customers both excellence and traceability of product. All incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products are sampled and tested to assure compliance.
