Badger Mining Corporation (BMC) is a family-owned, values-driven producer of high quality, round grain silica sand products used in a variety of industrial applications. With origins going back more than a century, the company is based in Berlin, Wisconsin with production facilities located in Fairwater, Taylor, Alma Center, and Merrillan, Wisconsin. Metal casting applications consume a significant portion of Badger Mining’s production each year. Consequently, Badger is fully committed to the foundry industry, and has been since the company’s inception. Our Foundry Team is made up of some of the industry’s most prominent people, including a Gold Medal recipient, a Hoyt Lecture presenter, a past Division Council Chair, an Outstanding Member award winner, a Scientific Merit Award winner, and several Service Award recipients.
For nearly thirty years, Badger Mining has utilized sell-directed work teams to manage its business. Every associate is a member of a team designated to manage a specific portion of the operations. Many associates also participate on cross-functional teams, which manage those activities that require input from multiple departments within the company.
The primary objective of every team is the same: fulfillment of the company’s Mission, Value and Sustainability statements (noted below). Over the years, our performance has proven repeatedly that as each individual team is successful, the company as a whole is successful.
Badger Mining Corporation has been nationally recognized numerous times for the quality of its products, its quality assurance programs, environmental stewardship, safety performance, work environment, health and wellness initiatives, and general business practices. Two recent awards we are most proud of are the Wisconsin Friend of the Environment Award and the WELCOA Healthiest Company Award.
Our BadgerCast™ product line is designed to accommodate the requirements of any sand casting process. Our products are shipped around the world in bulk or tote bags, via rail, truck or container.
