Fairmount Minerals Ltd. has appointed Jenniffer Deckard president, responsible for the day-to-day activities, continuing the company's sustainable business practices, and in charge of seeking new opportunities for continued growth. Chuck Fowler, who had served as president and chief executive officer, will continue as the CEO and as a director with Fairmount Minerals.
"I'm very pleased to have an executive of Jenniffer's caliber to pass the reigns to as I move myself into a more strategic role," said Fowler. He pointed out that since Deckard joined the company in 1994, she has been instrumental "in many of our largest steps forward as we've grown the company."
Most recently, Deckard has served as the chief financial officer and has served as one of the core leaders of Fairmount's strategic sustainable development initiatives, which include focusing on stakeholder engagement, community investment, and volunteerism.
"This is a remarkable opportunity to lead a company that has a strong dual-focus on growth and sustainability," said Deckard. "I am committed to continuing the tradition of product excellence and responsible growth, as well as our long-standing commitment to the communities in which we live and work."
