Harrison Equipment extends “strategy to provide foundries with increasing options in equipment, spare parts, and technical support”

Cleveland-based Equipment Manufacturers International Inc. recently acquired Harrison Equipment LLC, a developer and manufacturer of coremaking machinery, for an undisclosed price. The purchase was effective immediately.

“We’re excited to add this proven line of core and molding equipment to our growing and versatile line-up of robust equipment options for foundries,” according to EMI president Gerald Senk. “Completing this acquisition furthers our strategy to provide foundries with increasing options in equipment, spare parts, and technical support from one source that improve safety and productivity.”

Harrison Equipment designs single- and dual-station coremaking systems for hot and cold processes, with option for automated unloading of finished cores. It also develops molding machines and sand-transport systems.

EMI has assembled a portfolio of well-known brands for metalcasting process production, including SPO, Osborn, Sutter, and Herman.  According to its announcement, “Purchasing Harrison Equipment is part of EMI’s strategy to service and support a wider range of metalcasting equipment.”

For over 50 years, Harrison Equipment has supplied thousands of coremaking and molding machines, and sand transport systems to North American foundries.
