Executive Change at Inductotherm

Dec. 2, 2024
A planned succession has brought a co-leadership arrangement to the thermal processing technology and equipment group.

Inductotherm recently introduced a new management team for the group that includes the Inductotherm, Inductoheat, Thermatool, Radyne, Consarc, and other brands of thermal processing equipment and technology.

As of July 1, Mick Nallen and Satyen Prabhu assumed new roles as co‐leaders of Inductotherm Group, an “arrangement … designed to leverage their complementary strengths and experiences.”

Gary Doyon stepped down as chief executive officer of Inductotherm Group on July 1 but he will continue his 38-year career with the company as a board member, assisting with specific operational needs and pursuing new business avenues and opportunities. In its announcement, Inductotherm noted the transition is part of Doyon’s succession strategy to ensure the continued growth and success of the Inductotherm Group.

During Gary Doyon’s 15-year tenure as CEO, Inductotherm Group expanded its global footprint, diversified its product offerings, and strengthened its position as a market leader, the company detailed.

“We greatly appreciate and thank Gary Doyon for his exceptional leadership over the past 15 years,” stated group chairman Virginia Rowan Smith. “The Inductotherm Group is positioned for great things in the future based on its strength today. As we move forward with our succession plans, we are confident that the new leadership will continue to uphold the high standards and legacy that Gary has established.”

Of the new organizational plan, Mrs. Smith added: “This management strategy fits perfectly with the fact that our business is large, growing fast, and becoming wider in product technologies around the world. Mick and Satyen have come up with strong business plans that meet our family’s goal of maintaining a stable, customer‐focused, and technology‐centric business. We have an exciting future ahead of us.”

Inductotherm Group offers technology for the engineering, manufacturing, and service of equipment and systems used in melting, heating, heat treating, forging, galvanizing, coating, cutting, and welding of metals. The group includes 40 companies with 38 manufacturing facilities in 21 countries.
