Rheocast Company in Germantown, WI, will adopt a new identity on January 1, 2025. As Fall River Die Cast Co., the manufacturer of aluminum and brass high-pressure diecastings is continuing a five-year growth and investment strategy that includes new automated and robot-aided diecasting cells and a centralized aluminum melting system.
Founded in 1977, Rheocast is a contract manufacturer of diecastings ranging from ounces to over 10 pounds, for example fluid-meter housings and lighting-fixture components. Its customer services include CAD engineering, in-house tooling design and construction, CNC machining, finishing, assembly, and ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.
“We’ve changed the company’s name for several strategic reasons,” stated Charlie Wright, Jr., chairman and v.p. Operations. “Our new name better reflects the company’s membership in our holding company The Fall River Group, Inc., as a division along with its sister company, Fall River Foundry.”
The green-sand casting brass foundry also produces brass parts.
Wright, a third-generation member of the family that owns the holding company, reported that both divisions are growing and financially sound. He gave credit for the group’s success to diecasting expert John Cleary, who joined the business in 2022 as operations manager.
“John has been instrumental in spearheading our operational transformation to a modern, competitive, state-of-the-art die caster,” according to Wright.
In expectation of new production programs to launch in 2025, and continuing the ongoing investment strategy, the new Fall River Die Castings plans to install a 1,200-ton Yizumi-HPM Leap diecasting cell. That new system will use AI-based production profiles to optimize casting shots, for higher-quality and cost-effective production.
Cleary says, “We are working hard to transform this company into a major player in the American diecasting industry and are assembling the best team in the business right now to help execute our vision,” Cleary stated.
“It’s a very exciting time for us,” Wright said. “We’ve been producing diecastings since 1977, and together as a team we are building the foundation for the next 50 years of growth.”
