Allied Mineral Products Inc. formed a “global strategic partnership” with Hagenburger Feuerfeste Produkte GmbH, aiming to expand its coverage of the European market with its metal flow and control products.  Allied Mineral also reported it has taken an equity stake in Hagenburger, though the value of that investment was not indicated.

Hagenburger Feuerfeste Produkte manufactures a range of extruded plastic, dry pressed, and isostatically pressed products for iron and steel melting and pouring. These products include gating systems

for large hand- and machine-cast parts, isostatically pressed alumina-graphite monobloc stopper rods, nozzles, and other pressed and fired components for iron and steel foundries. It also produces precast shapes and monolithic refractories.

Tabor added that the two partners’ customers would gain from “the synergistic technologies, advanced service offerings, and the global reach of our two companies.”
