Frank Johnson has retired as chief financial officer at Sivyer Steel Corporation, a steel foundry in Bettendorf, IA. His responsibilities are now assumed by Tim Mohs, who is the company’s chief operating officer. Mohs has been with Sivyer Steel since 2007, starting as its controller.
The foundry, which has operations in Moline, IL, as well as Bettendorf, produces castings in high volumes for heavy-equipment builders supplying mining and recycling industries, as well as military contractors. Along with metalcasting, Sivyer has machining and heat-treating operations.
Dale Weeldreyer will become Sivyer Steel’s new vice president of operations. Weeldreyer relocated to Bettendorf from Milwaukee earlier this year, to assume the role of manager of engineering and maintenance at Sivyer Steel. His previous experience includes more than 20 years as vice president of purchasing and engineering for Grede Foundries.
Also, Sivyer Steel announced the promotion of Kelly Hickles to be its new human resource manager. The company noted she has added a wealth of knowledge to its H.R. department since joining the firm in 2010 from a similar position with L3 Communications. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Internal Relations and German from Concordia University, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
